Michelin Primacy Alpin PA3
Alpin PA3 ZP (Zero Pressure) is Michelin's Performance
Winter / Snow run-flat tire developed to meet the wintertime
driving needs of MINI Coopers fitted with Original Equipment
run-flat tires. The Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP offers temporary
extended mobility (up to 50 miles at 50 mph) in the event a
puncture results in complete tire pressure loss. Michelin
Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP tires are designed to maintain good
braking and maneuverability in cold, wet and wintry
The Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP features a sunflower oil-enriched
Helio Compound to increase traction at low temperatures for
improved braking and handling in the wet, as well as better
overall performance in the snow. The Helio compound is
molded into a directional tread design featuring independent
shoulder and intermediate blocks combined with a continuous
center rib to help maintain traction in dry, wet and wintry
conditions. Michelin's StabiliGripô technology with
bidirectional auto blocking sipes and variable geometry also
provides more biting edges to improve acceleration and
handling in snow and on ice. The tire's internal structure
includes a polyester cord body under twin steel belts that
are reinforced by Michelin''''s BAZ technology, where
polyamide cord is spirally Banded At Zero degrees to the
direction of travel to provide high-speed durability.
Sidewall reinforcements using low hysteresis rubber provide
self-supporting strength that combats sidewall damage to
allow temporary zero-pressure driving. A special bead design
helps tires stay securely seated on conventional rims.
The Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP winter / snow radials meet the
industry''''s severe snow service requirements and are
branded with the mountain/snowflake symbol.
The Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP tires feature winter wear
indicators to identify when wear prevents the remaining
tread depth from providing beneficial snow performance.
Install Primacy Alpin PA3 ZP tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at
all wheel positions. These winter / snow tires, due to their
exceptional snow and ice traction provided by their unique
tread compounds, must be used in sets of four to help ensure
proper vehicle control.
