The Turbospeed CR228-D is the Ultra High Performance Summer tire member of AVON Tyres' family of Original Equipment tires. The Turbospeed CR228-D is designed to bestow performance and confidence to the drivers of Bentley performance sedans by providing plentiful traction, precise handling and positive steering response in dry and wet road conditions. The Turbospeed CR228-D is not intended to be driven in near freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

On the outside, the Turbospeed CR228-D features a specially formulated summer tread compound molded into a directional, seven-rib tread design to provide tread rigidity to enhance traction, steering response and cornering stability. The tread design's continuous center rib provides constant rubber-to-road contact to enhance straight line tracking while reducing noise levels. The location of the wide circumferential and angled lateral grooves blend dry road performance with wet weather traction and hydroplaning resistance.

On the inside, the Turbospeed CR228-D features twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon that helps resist distortion at high speeds and while cornering, along with a rayon cord carcass that enhances ride comfort.
