When two of the world's
most famous muscle car names - American Racing and Carroll Shelby - get
together, expect performance. As part of American Racing's 50th
anniversary celebration, the American Racing® Carroll Shelby® Legend
Series of performance wheels was introduced.
Shelby, an Automotive Hall of Fame inductee, broke land speed records at
Bonneville, won the 24-Hour at Le Mans in the 50s and managed Ford's GT
teams that were victorious at Le Mans in the FIA World Grand Touring
Championship. In the 60s, Shelby turned to design and developed the
American V8-powered, the aluminum bodied Shelby Cobra and the Shelby
series of Ford Mustangs. Today, he remains involved in the design and
production of the Shelby® Cobra® series, the Shelby® Series One® and the
Dodge Viper.
Inspired by Shelby's passion for performance and American Racing's
passion for authentic hot rod wheels, the Shelby® Legend Series
maintains the Shelby legacy of speed and style for Shelby® Cobra® and
today's Ford Mustangs.
