The Geolandar M/T+ is Yokohama's
enhanced Off-Road Maximum Traction light truck tire developed for
the drivers of pickup trucks & sport utility vehicles that require
extreme off-road appearance & traction. The Geolandar M/T+ was
designed to conquer any surface from muddy trails & rocky terrain
to the highways & byways of the asphalt jungle.
On the outside, the Geolandar M/T+
molds a longer lasting, specifically formulated cut-and-chip
resistant tread compound into a beefy, deep-lug directional tread
design featuring a step block circumferential center groove,
twin-cut lug grooves & progressive power shoulders that increase
the number of biting edges to enhance the tire's traction &
self-cleaning capabilities while providing longer life off-road &
broader capabilities on-road. On the inside, twin steel belts
reinforced by nylon belt edge strips & polyester body plies
provide the strength needed for off-road driving.
Yokohama Geolandar M/T+ tires are
Q-speed rated. The Flotation-sized tires for 15" wheel diameters
(31X10.50R15LT, for example) feature outline white letter styling
combined with the tire's directional tread design making them
directional & asymmetric (requiring specific "left" & "right"
side tires). The LT-metric sized tires for 16" & 17" wheel
diameters (such as LT265/75R16) feature blackwall styling that does
not result in the need for specific "left" & "right" side tires.
