Yokohama ADVAN Sport ZPS

The ADVAN Sport ZPS (Zero Pressure System) is Yokohama's Max Performance Summer run-flat tire developed for sports car, sports coupe and high performance sedan drivers looking to combine comfort and traction with performance and peace of mind. The ADVAN Sport ZPS is designed to combine high speed durability and a high level of traction in dry and wet road conditions with temporary extended mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph in the event a puncture allows complete air pressure loss. Like all summer tires, the ADVAN Sport ZPS is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice. The ADVAN Sport ZPS features a silica-blend tread compound to provide grip that's less affected by extreme low or high temperatures. The compound is molded into an asymmetric tread pattern featuring five main ribs including a massive, outer shoulder zone to blend handling with ride and noise comfort. Four wide, circumferential grooves help water flow through the footprint to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. The tire’s internal structure combines two wide steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon cap plies providing strength and uniform ride quality. The sidewalls are tuned to resist lateral deflection to provide predictable handling while Yokohama’s ZPS sidewall reinforcement can support the vehicle’s weight even after a puncture allows a complete loss of air pressure.
