The HTR Sport H/P is the Street/Sport
Truck All-Season light truck tire member of Sumitomo Tires' family
of HTR (High Tech Radial) performance tires. The HTR Sport H/P was
developed to provide the drivers of sporty pickups & sport utility
vehicles enhanced appearance & performance. The HTR Sport H/P is
designed to combine sports car performance & a passenger car-like
ride with the big wheel plus sized look & load carrying capacity
required by light trucks, while providing year-round traction, even
in light snow. On the
outside, the HTR Sport H/P radials feature an all-season tread
compound molded into a symmetric tread design that features
independent shoulder & intermediate blocks along with a continuous
center rib to provide stability on dry roads. Four wide
circumferential & plentiful lateral grooves help direct water
through the tire's footprint to enhance hydroplaning resistance &
foul weather traction. Tread block sipes increase the number of
biting edges to enhance light snow traction. On the inside, the HTR
Sport H/P features twin steel belts reinforced by Sumitomo Tires'
Jointless Nylon B& (JNB) Technology on top of a polyester cord
carcass to blend predictable handling with a smooth ride.
