The Winter 190 Snowcontrol Serie II
is Pirelli's Performance Winter/Snow tire designed for coupes and
sedans to provide a high level of security on dry, wet and wintry
surfaces. The Pirelli Ecoimpact icons on the sidewalls of Winter 190
Snowcontrol Serie II tires highlight their contribution to the
environmental with regards to energy efficiency, clean air and low
noise.
The Winter 190 Snowcontrol Serie II uses a silica-enhanced winter
tread compound that increases rubber flexibility molded into a
directional tread design blending cold weather traction and
handling. Rounded shoulder blocks and interlocking center blocks
featuring high-density siping that form a brick wall-like design to
enhance ice and snow traction, ride comfort and noise quality. Two
wide circumferential channels and numerous lateral grooves
efficiently channel water and slush to the sides to enhance
hydroplaning resistance and wet traction.
Snow platform indicators (additional wear bars which are higher than
the wear bars used to indicate the tire is worn out) connect the
tire's shoulder and intermediate blocks when approximately 5/32" of
tread depth to identify the remaining tread depth can only deliver
diminishing snow performance.
Winter 190 Snowcontrol Serie II winter radials meet the industry's
severe snow service requirements and are branded with the
mountain/snowflake symbol.
Install Pirelli Winter 190 Snowcontrol Serie II tires in sets of
four only.
