The Latitude X-ICE is Michelin's
Studless Ice & Snow winter tire developed for the drivers of
family vans, sport utility vehicles & light-duty pickups that want
a boost in winter driving confidence. Latitude X-ICE winter tires
are designed to combine X-tra ice & snow traction with enhanced
handling on wet & dry roads.
The Latitude X-ICE molds an advanced
silica-based winter tread rubber compound that remains flexible at
lower temperatures into a directional tread design that helps
maintain good traction on wet & slush-covered roads. It features
Cross Z-Sipes Technology to increase tread & shoulder block
stability & provide the lateral & longitudinal stiffness for
better handling on dry & wet roads & more grip on ice- &
snow-covered roads. The Latitude X-ICE winter tire's combination of
capabilities is made possible by Michelin's Stress Equilibrium
casing that evenly distributes the contact forces across the
footprint.
Latitude X-ICE winter tires meet
the industry's severe snow service requirements & are branded with
the snowflake-on-the-mountain symbol.
NOTE: Snow platform indicators (the
equivalent of "snow wearbars") are molded into the Latitude X-ICE's
tread grooves to inform the driver when ice & snow traction will
be reduced as the tire's tread wear reaches the point where the
remaining tread depth becomes less effective in deep snow.
Install Latitude X-ICE tires in
sets of four only.
Due to the traction capabilities of
the Latitude X-ICE, Michelin recommends using Latitude X-ICE tiresin
sets of four to provide the best handling characteristics & tire
performance.
