Goodyear Ultra Grip

Ultra Grip radials are Goodyear’s
Studdable Snow radials designed for the owners of domestic and
imported sedans, vans and light-duty pickup trucks, as well as
crossover and sport utility vehicles.
Ultra Grip radials use a tread compound made up of a special blend
of rubber polymers molded into a directional tread pattern that
features high-density, siped independent tread blocks to offer the
biting edges necessary to provide traction in loose snow. The
intermediate and shoulder tread blocks are molded to accept studs
that further enhance traction on hard-packed snow and ice. The
tire’s internal structure includes twin steel belts on top of a
polyester carcass to combine strength with ride quality.
Ultra Grip winter/snow radials meet the industry's severe snow
service requirements and are branded with the mountain/snowflake
symbol.
Install Ultra Grip tires in sets of four only.
Vehicles should always be equipped with equivalent tires at all
wheel positions. All Ultra Grip radials, due to their exceptional
hard-packed snow and ice traction when studded, must be used in sets
of four to help ensure proper vehicle control.
