Goodyear Eagle featuring ResponsEdge
Technology radials are Grand Touring All-Season tires developed to
enhance the capabilities of sport coupes and sedans. The Eagle
ResponsEdge is designed to offer year-round traction on dry, wet and
lightly snow-covered roads, while delivering a blend of responsive
handling and comfortable ride qualities that allow drivers to feel
the road, not the rumble. Eagle
ResponsEdge tires feature an asymmetric tread design with solid
shoulder blocks and a continuous intermediate rib on the outboard
portion to improve responsiveness and cornering stability, while
diagonal aquachutes, deep shoulder grooves and TredLock sipes on the
inboard portion enhance foul-weather traction. The asymmetric tread
design is completed through the use of dual-zone tread compounds
with a high-grip sport compound on the outboard portion and a high
silica content all-season compound on the inboard portion.
The tire's structure includes twin
steel belts cushioned by Goodyear's InsuLayer of spirally wrapped
KevlarŪ. Polyester body plies also feature an asymmetric design with
a carbon fiber reinforced outboard sidewall to enhance
responsiveness and cornering stability while providing flexibility
to cushion the ride.
Eagle ResponsEdge tires feature
sidewall styling that combines subtle black letters with a serrated
band and use Goodyear's PermaBlack Compound Additive to maintain a
new tire-like appearance throughout the life of the tire. Eagle
ResponsEdge tires feature an alloy wheel rim protector. |
