Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-2

The Eagle F1 GS-2 is Goodyear’s Ultra High Performance Summer radial developed for Original Equipment (O.E.) use on the Pontiac Solstice GXP and Saturn Sky Red Line sports cars. On the outside, Eagle F1 GS-2 tires feature Goodyear’s Ultra High Performance tread compound molded into a directional tread design. The design combines a continuous center rib that maintains constant road contact to enhance straight-line tracking and initial steering response with high angle tread blocks and dual Aquachannels to avoid trapping water between the tire and the road to boost wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. On the inside, twin high-tensile steel belts are reinforced with spirally wound aramid to distribute the vehicle’s load across the tire’s footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Rayon body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.
