Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT

The Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT is Goodyear’s Ultra High Performance Summer radial developed for the Chevrolet C-6 Corvette. The Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT features Goodyear’s self-supporting Extended Mobility Technology to provide drivability even after a complete loss of air pressure. It also eliminates the need for a traditional spare tire and wheel to allow more storage and luggage space. On the outside, Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT tires feature Goodyear’s AAtrax tread compound. The AAtrax name emphasizes that the Eagle F1 GS earns the highest "AA" Uniform Tire Quality Grade wet traction rating. The tire's compound is molded into a directional tread design that combines a continuous center rib which maintains constant road contact to enhance straight-line tracking and initial steering response with high angle tread blocks and dual Aquachannels to avoid trapping water between the tire and the road. This boosts wet traction and hydroplaning resistance. On the inside, twin high-tensile steel belts are reinforced with spirally wound aramid to distribute the vehicle’s load across the tire’s footprint providing high-speed durability and uniform ride qualities. Rayon body plies enhance high temperature and high-speed durability while exterior sidewall rim flange protectors help guard wheels against curb damage.
