The SP Sport Signature is
Dunlop's High Performance All-Season radial developed to
deliver year-round performance for the drivers of sport
cars, sporty coupes and performance sedans. The SP Sport
Signature is designed to blend treadwear, handling and
traction on dry and wet roads, as well as in light snow.
The SP Sport Signature molds a high-performance, all-season
tread compound into an asymmetric design that has an
outboard Dry Performance Sector that features a broad
shoulder rib along with notched intermediate and center ribs
to enhance steering response and cornering stability. The
tire's inboard Wet Performance Sector has an intermediate
rib that features Dunlop's Hydro-Paddle Technology combined
with independent shoulder blocks that pump water to resist
hydroplaning and enhance wet weather traction. Straight
sipes that angle across the entire footprint add biting
edges to increase wintry traction while maintaining a
relatively solid, stable surface. The tire's internal
structure includes twin, high-density steel belts reinforced
by Dunlop's JointLess Band (JLB) nylon to improve driving
control and promote even treadwear while minimizing weight
and enhancing ride quality. Hard rubber sidewall
reinforcements and a high body ply turn-up enhance steering
response and cornering stability. |
