The Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT is Bridgestone's Performance Winter/Snow Run-Flat tire designed to provide temporary self-supporting run-flat mobility in case a puncture allows complete air loss. The Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT molds a high-silica content tread compound that remains pliable in cold temperatures to combine winter traction with run-flat durability. This compound is molded into a directional tread design featuring independent blocks and rounded shoulders that combine hydroplaning resistance on wet and slush-covered roads with enhanced handling in cold, dry conditions. Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT tires feature the Lamellen "edge effect" (multiple biting edges in the tread blocks to help grip snow) to enhance winter traction without resorting to traditional metal studs. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by spirally wrapped nylon to blend high-speed durability with uniform ride quality. The Blizzak LM-25 4x4 RFT’s structure has been specifically tuned for its intended vehicles and features Bridgestone Side Support Run-Flat technology reinforced sidewalls to support the vehicle after a puncture causes loss of air pressure.
