KUMHO expands size lineups of several tire models

KUMHO will add a total of 97 new sizes to six of its most popular tire models in the first quarter of 2007.

• The ECSTA SPT ultra high performance tire will gain 22 new sizes & will be available in 80 sizes. The SPT uses technology developed for KUMHO’s F3 race tires & features a unique tread design that provides a comfortable ride, low noise, excellent cornering & great wet grip.
• The ECSTA ASX ultra high performance all-season tire will gain 15 new sizes & will be available in over 60 sizes. The ASX features an asymmetrical tread pattern that’s been designed for maximum function in all types of driving conditions. The unique tread design also provides more resistance to irregular wear compared with current directional patterns, & enables the tires to easily be rotated from front-to-rear or side-to-side on a vehicle.
• The SOLUS KH16 all season tire will gain 16 new sizes & will be available in nearly 40 sizes. The KH16 incorporates KUMHO’s best technology to provide tenacious grip, responsive cornering, long mileage & a quiet, comfortable ride. KUMHO optimized the casing shape, tread contact & sidewall stiffness of the KH16, giving the tire great ability to absorb bumps while remaining responsive.
• The Road Venture AT KL78 light truck tire will gain 29 new sizes & will be available in more than 60 sizes. The KL78 is the newest member of KUMHO’s line of Road Venture light truck tires & is a premium tire that’s excellent for recreational & commercial use. It features an improved tread design that enhances cut & chip resistance & nylon reinforcement for great durability.
• The ECST STX ultra high performance light truck tire will gain 10 news sizes & will be available in more than 40 sizes. The STX features an aggressive, directional tread pattern & two wide, full-depth circumferential grooves coupled with a center-to-shoulder groove to remove water from beneath the footprint & reduce the risk of hydroplaning. Large stable tread blocks enhance footing & cornering, while nylon belt & bead reinforcement enhance durability.
• The Road Venture MT KL71 light truck tire will gain five new sizes & will be available in 14 sizes. The MT is designed for consumers who want to combine the aggressive capabilities of an off-road tire with the big wheel, lower profile “look” of a performance street tire. The Road Venture MT features an advanced tread compound that resists cuts, chips & abrasions that are common to off-road driving, & a directional tread & shoulder lugs that provide maximum forward bite.
