Not sure if it matters but my truck is a Dodge RAM 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 Cummins Diesel, with an aftermarket MBRP High Flow exhaust. BFG Rugged Trail TA 265-70R17 Load Range E.Originally tires were BFG Rugged Trail TA and I logged 118k on that set. Shopping around for then again, and was told they were junk. I said I will take that junk again, logged another 100k, and getting ready to put more "junk" on my truck again. These tires have outlasted many other brands that friends have on their trucks. They will go through 2-3 sets before I go through one.I have gone through 12-14" of snow with out a problem when these tires are new to about 50%. When tires start to get thin (almost to wear bars) snow traction is impacted as tread packs with snow. Not a big issue if you adapt your driving habits accordingly. I have loaded the truck to capacity (and probably more) a number of times, the tires showed very little bulge. The only time I have been able to get a observable bulge is when I loaded the back end with sand and had the rubber chassis stoppers almost touching the axle...oops! Some say that an aggressive tread tire will effect your fuel mileage. Originally I was getting 18-24MPG. After replacing the exhaust I did have a change in MPG, 28-30 City, Hwy is 32+ (70MPH) and up to 43 MPG @ 55 on flat freeways. I do not believe the tread on this tire gives much resistance, if any.Reasonably priced, Good performance, and excellent tread life. What more can you ask for? I would recommend this tire to anyone that drives a truck like a truck. If you want your truck to ride like a Cadillac you might not want this tire.

Initial Review, 38,000 Miles on Tires
April 02, 2011

These tires were OEM on my 2008 Frontier Nismo. I spend approximately 90% of my time on highways and approximately 10% off road playing in the back country. I have maintained these tires at proper inflation and I have rotated them every 5,000 mi. After 38,000 mi. they are worn to the tread-wear bars and need to be replaced. I have been told that this is about average for these tires, but I would expect somewhat better for a tire in this category.I live in Boise, ID, where we do not get a lot of rain (our rainy season is compacted to 2-3 months) -- thank heavens because these tires are horrible on wet or icy roads. If you live in a rainy/icy climate I would definitely recommend you not purchase these tires. Boise does not get a lot of lingering snow but these tires do reasonably well when needed in those conditions. These tires performed reasonably well off road. They took me everywhere I wanted to go without issues. They seemed to have decent grip on rocky surfaces, ok grip in mud, but not very good on some of the clay soils we have near here. But I don't know of any of my friends who would rate their tires good on wet clay so these are no better-or-worse than others in those conditions.I have the replacement for these tires on order - Firestone Destination A/T. After I have some experience with the new tires I will write a review on them as well. It will be interesting to see how the 2 brands compare on the same vehicle.
