Snow traction was disappointing. With an aggressive tread, expected much better performance than what was actually was delivered. These tires were not quite what they were cracked up to be. They were supposed to be a four season tire that blended performance with all season traction, last snow storm, lost control at 15mph and ended in a ditch. Tires ride hard and make lots of noise. Getting less mpg, an average of 5 mpg than before. Never again I will buy BFG tires!!!

Put about 40k on these tires before trading the car. I dont know if they would had made 70k but I still had a good 20k left in them. On snowy mornings I preferd my wifes malibu with these tires on it to my 4wd for city/highway driving. In the summer they did everything you expect out of a touring tire. Quiet, corner well, and wet roads are no problem. I didnt like the directional tread so tire rotation was limited but the tread design is what I like most about the tire so thats a fair trade in my book. The minivan I replaced the malibu with got stuck twice yesterday in a few inches of snow with its 30k old tires. The Traction t/a's wouldnt had slowed down. Im at half tread on my stock tires so Ill likely put up with them through summer but by fall Ill be putting on these.

I dont understand why people like this tire?? I went through 2 sets - 2 sets!! of these on my L300. Both sets needed replacement (wear bars) at 30,000 miles. When they get past 50% worn, they get noisy as heck and need to be balanced every 3,000 miles. The dry traction is good, yeah, but you dont buy tires "just" for dry traction. If you live in an area where you get snow or ice, then you can forget it with these tires because they are apparently designed to turn into ski's. There were times when we just wouldnt drive the car when it snowed with these tires, not worth risking your life or somebody elses. All in all, I couldnt and wouldnt recommend these tires to anybody. Please look at the surveys and find a tire without any "yellow" in the ratings, like these. You'll thank me later.
