Initial Review, 19,000 Miles on Tires
April 16, 2011

These are the OEM tires for my 2010 Mustang. These tires are listed as being good for 50,000+ miles yet with only 19,000 miles on them, they need to be replaced even though I don't drive them hard at all. I drove these tires in both Vicenza, Italy and in Southern Louisiana so they went through both hot and cold climates. The dry grip was about what you expect for a lesser tire and the wet grip was horrendous. I spun tires in the rain even when taking off from second gear. As far as grip levels in the snow are concerned, these tires are not for rear-wheel drive vehicles as you will slip and slide with these. Cornering with these tires requires finesse and nerves as these tires will flex and dive with a latent response to your steering input. Stability on the highway at 100+ miles per hour is o.k., my vehicle held the line without too much wobbling but then again it might just be the way the vehicle is designed. The sound level on highway driving is barely marginal as you have to fight over the roar of the tires just to have a conversation. These tires having a high sidewall will absorb bumps fairly well and will provide a cushy ride so no problems in this category. In the end all season tires are a compromise so it is just wiser to have both a dedicated summer set and a winter set to truly get the best performance possible.

Initial Review, 57,000 Miles on Tires

The dealer put these new tires on the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8 Full time 4wd with 18,000 miles that I purchased. I have always been happy with the dry, wet and snow traction and stability of these tires. I have zero complaints. I drive aggressively, and now at 76,000 miles I will replace these before winter. Tread wear is even... I didnt rotate them once. If only every tire lasted this long... I expected this tire to do well on dry roads, as it is not a very aggressive tread pattern. I was always surprised that it was also great in snow. On road trips through Montana in the winter, I was often that guy in the unplowed fast lane passing all the 4x4s following the plow. This is a great budget priced, all around good tire for a midsized SUV/crossover.

2006 Toyota Prius

Miles driven on tires: 15,500

Initial Review, 15,500 Miles on Tires

This tire has a treadwear rating of 620 as indicated on the tire. I barely had 15,000mi on the tire and the tread was already at the limit of 2/32". The care tracked perfectly down the highway and the wear was even across the tire. I check the inflation pressure, rotate the tires and the prius has a gauge to indicate low air pressure. The manufacturer clearly mis-represented the treadwear rating.
