This tire looks great, grips well & gives the driver a lot of confidence. Lasted longer than expected. But, all of this comes at a VERY high price - this tire gets very noisy within 5000-7000 miles. About halfway into treadwear & later, the noise level is extreme. Roaring is so loud to almost be laughable. Friends have compared it to a jet engine & the space shuttle. I maintain the car well - car is aligned frequently & I've been consistently told the car has never been so far out of alignment to cause wear issues. What drives me to check it is the excessive noise. The car had to toe adjustment recall performed - twice. This is my second & last set. Look elsewhere as there are competing tires in this price range where noise & ride comfort are not issues.

I have a daily 84 mile roundtrip commute driven mostly on a three lane hwy with a posted 65 mph speed limit. The BFGoodrich KDWS ZR 235/50/18's came mounted as OEM tires on my 2008 Mustang Bullitt (which is a GT with 3.73 rear and other performance mods) which I purchased new in '08 and have driven the last three years. I'm 57.All Bullitt's are 5 speed manuals and I've done more then my share of redlight burnouts.I'm anal about rotating the tires every 8000 or so miles and regularly checking my tire pressure which I like to keep at 34psi all the way around. Driving impressions? I was coming home from work in the far left lane and ahead of me was a slowpoke. I dropped down to third and punched it as I switched into the middle lane accelerating to around 75+ when somebody in the far right lane jumped out in my path. I had to jerk the wheel and apply brakes to avoid a collision. I feel these tires along with luck and front shock tower brace saved my life. The car reacted to my frantic input and steadfastly regained control. These tires instill confidence.I can take any curve as far and fast as my driving "gut" allows and have kept up with alot of different performance cars in the last three years. The best news I have to report is the milage. I have 50,000 miles on this American ponycar with a good 4/32's on the front and about 3/32's on the rear since my last rotation about 8000 miles ago. Not too shabby! Now the bad. My rear wheel drive 350hp slightly modded Ford doesn't go out when the white stuff starts falling so I do not know how it will track in snow but my best guess is not very well. In the rain these tires will get you to and fro as long as you don't get too squirrely. In other words I slow down when the road gets wet...like most sane people do. I've driven in the winter cold when the roads are dry and the tires grip just fine. In hard launches the KDWS will hook resonably well. I'm ordering another set in the same width. I'm happy with these tires.

I only bought this tire because I got a killer deal on them, after having them I would pay full price in a heartbeat. Had to pick on of their default driving conditions to submit this, but likely 70-75% of my driving is off pavement year round Colorado mountain roads or lack thereof. About the only terrain I have not had occasion to test this tire in is bottomless mud, though I suspect there are other tires that would be better suited for this. Tires do not perform quite as well in snow as they do in other areas but I have still never had to chain up as they have always gripped well enough to do what had to be done, especially if a little weight is added to the rear of the truck. Have yet to be stuck or have a flat. These tires are tough, tougher than the less expensive mud tires I had before by a good margin and perform better in almost all conditions. Treadwear is great as far as I am concerned. I still have well over half the life of these tires left. The only downsides of this tire is that its ride is not as smooth as some and they are a little noisier. In all honesty though, neither of those things is what makes solid performing off-road tires in my mind. One other thing of note is that the bead protector does seem to collect and keep debris between the rim and tire, though it has not caused any problems as of yet. These tires are about as close to perfect as I could ask for my driving conditions
