I have used this tire for my last six sets of tires on my corvettes. I autocross and take 4-500 mile runs on the highway each summer. I usually get 20,000 miles on each set. They stick almost as well as my race slicks. I am very disappointed in BF Goodrich on discontinuing this tire. Often said I would use nothing else. Could not imagine the number of KD's I have talked people into buying. Bf Goodrich real made a mistake here. |

2003 Corvette ZO6 with 525bhp. This is by far the best performing street tire I have ever driven on. The steering response is almost immediate. The cornering is rock solid and, once you get use to the tires, predictable. The tread wear is pretty good, especially considering the near R tread compound. The ride comfort is pretty good. My only real complaint is that BF Goodrich has discontinued the KD for some unknown (ridiculous) reason. Bring back the KD!!! ...or at least something equal to it. |

i installed bf goodrich t/a kd's on a 2008 mustang gt with sport suspension and a stage 3 roushcharger, open pipe exaust, cold air intake, and retuned, installed, making 497 hp,and 532 tq at the rear wheels, and i am very impressed with the tires performance in both strait line traction and there corning stability i would recomend them to anyone that has a performance coupe. the only regret i have is that i didnt get a larger size for the rear say a 305 35 or an 315 35 |

For track events on dry pavement this is THE tire to have. Sticks nearly as well as a full race compound tire, but lasts much, much longer. Tread blocks are a bit too thick and are prone to overheating in the summer when driven to the limit. Other than that, this is the only tire Ill run until I can afford full race slicks every event.

This tire still impresses if used for what it was designed for -- dry, high performance, track. I gave it a good rating for treadwear because I expect a very sticky tire to wear faster, so taking that into consideration it has very good wear characteristics. For track use, they should be shaved to prevent the blocks from overheating. This tire does give up a lot of wet grip in exchange for dry grip, so be warned.

These were a vast improvement over the stock Bridgstones. But past experience with BFG's I'm not expecting the life to be too long. On asphalt AutoCross courses, they aren't too bad, but improvement, over over B'stones was not as well as Khumos, or R1's, etc tires, Got a set of Z710's, I expect will give more. |

I really enjoyed this tire while it lasted. Unfortunately my size is now discontinued. As you might imagine they're no good for snow or ice, but do pretty well for this type of tire in the rain. These tires put up with a lot of abuse, and the only reason they didn't last long is because my car likes to go out of alignment every 6 months or so. Did great on corners and never had a problem at high speeds. Two of the four didn't need to be balanced. |

We've used this tire for years on our Mini-Stock cars, buying all right side tires since we run paved oval track. Always had terrific results, many wins until this close out batch. I'm guessing they are old, as they chunked after only a few races when previous tires never did. And its hard finding non-DOT-R tires for 15" wheels, in keeping with our track's rules. Looks like I'll have to replace them with another brand, since I haven't found an equivalent tire close to this 225/50/15 (I wouldn't consider the Hankook Ventus R-S2 in the same performance company, even though its listed as extreme performance summer). Such is the tyranny of older (equals cheaper) race cars and the newer tire sizes. |

These tires are a fantastic compliment to a Nissan 350Z with upgraded suspension, brakes, etc. They are very predictable and perform very well during aggressive driving. I have put them to the test on the canyon roads in southern California and are quick to turn in and hold their line very well. On the track, they maintain their grip and do not fade as they get hot. Also, I found that there is enough feel that you can sense the limit of grip. The also work just fine in the city/highways of Los Angeles, but they might be a bit noisy and a bit firmer than some might like - they really are a performance tire. I have no experience in the wet, but they are not designed for the rain at all. (Get the KDW if rain is an issue.) I would recommend this tire for the performance minded driver. |
