Our three-part Arctic
Circle winter series from January of 2009 concludes with this
evaluation of the effectiveness of Ultra High Performance All-Season
tires -- during the height of the winter season -- in Northern
Sweden.
These tires' three-season focus usually comes at some expense in the
fourth season's wintertime traction levels. Our test revealed just
how much, or little, snow traction is provided in these all-season
designs by comparing the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position,
Continental ExtremeContact DWS, Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season,
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus and Yokohama Avid W4s. |
